Leona Lewis performed at birthday party for £1m

Birthday parties seem to be getting more and more extravagant. I was watching Sweet 16 on MTV the other night and this spoilt wannabe received a brand new Range Rover Sport along with a huge birthday bash with a surprise celebrity guest. When i was 16, i was lucky if i got Norman Tinsel, the local joker who used to just piss about with a few balloon animals and an extending magic wand. How times have changed hey!!

Leona Lewis certainly made someones day special by performing 7 songs at a 21st birthday bash. Leona performed for John Caudwell’s daughter for a massive £1million. Libby Caudwell even got to duet with the X Factor winner, a birthday present she certainly wont forget.

‘It was a night Libby will certainly never forget, She knew something was going to happen, but she just couldn’t believe it when Leona walked on the stage.’

Leona was the only celebrity to perform at the event, it seems that Stephen Gately also made an appearance at the mansion in Staffs.

Leona Lewis brings out fragrance

When you become a Celebrity, I think it must be in the contract that you have to try and release a record if your not already a pop star, bring out an autobiography and release a perfume.

The latest Celeb to bring out her own fragrance is X Factor winner Leona Lewis. I new it wouldn’t be long until she brought on out, she’ll have her autobiography on the shelves in the next 6 months, opening up about the whole 23 years of her life!

Leona has decided to team up with the ethical beauty brand, LP, and has been working very hard on the scent and design of the bottle.

Does the design of the bottle really matter? If Kerry Katona sold a perfume that had the same bottle as one by Dior, i cant imagine they they would have the same sales figures, do you?

Anyway, Leona is said to be thrilled at having the opportunity of creating her own fragrance..

‘I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to work on such an exciting project. I am passionate about what I do and it is important for me to give the best I can to my fans all of the time. I love my new fragrance and I already love LR.’

Britney pulls out of her surprise MTV appearance

I was extremely excited to hear that the legend Miss Britney Spears was due to be doing a surprise appearance at the MTV European Music Awards in Liverpool this week. Unfortunately this is now no longer the case!

Yes, you heard me right, Britney has pulled out of her surprise appearance due to family commitments.

‘Britney is gutted but she has family commitments. Due to the ongoing court case involving her sons, Britney has to remain in the US to show she’s available for her kids as often as possible, and she has to be around this week!’

Booooo, i wanna see Britney performing!!!

Although we wont see her this time around there are rumours that she is going to be performing on the X Factor at the end of November, hurrah!!

Britney has a new single out on Monday but there could be a race to number one as other divas such as Beyonce, Leona and Christina are all releasing one on the same day!

MOBO Nominations

Like i mentioned yesterday, award season is in full swing and the next event to take place is the MOBO’s (Music of Black Origin) in October.

The nominations have already been announced and it appears its all about the girls!!

Estelle has got a massive 5 nominations including best song and best UK female. X Factor winner Leona Lewis is just behind with 3 nominations. Dizzee Rascal and Wiley are both up there for nominations.

The event which is taking place on October 15th is going to be hosted by ex Spice Girl Melanie B, so be prepared for lots and lots of leopard print.

Leona Lewis – Not so rich!!

You would think that after topping the charts in both the UK and America that Leona Lewis would be rolling in it.

Dont get me wrong she probably does have a small fortune, but not enough to be able to buy a house in her home town of Hackney, East London.

Leona and her partner Lou Al-Charma tried to purchase a £500,000 house but once the sellers found out who she was, they upped the price to £100,000, at this point the singer had to back out.

Leona is the first women to reach number one in the US charts for 21 years, the last lady was Kim Wilde with “you keep me hanging on”.
