John Sargeant and friends speak out about show!

I was gutted to hear that John Sargeant had quit Strictly come Dancing. Although he couldn’t dance he was my favourite just for the sheer comedy value and in my opinion people are taking the show far to seriously!

John held a press conference the other night and explained his reasons for leaving:

“If the joke wears thin, if in fact people begin to take it very seriously, and if people really are getting so wound up that it’s very difficulty to carry off the joke, then i think it is time to go.”

It isnt only John that has spoken out about this, his fellow Strictly dancers have too.

Andrew Castle, who was voted off the show a few weeks back has said that John’s exit will make the show suffer:

“He played a brilliant game from beginning to end. He leaves the programme undefeated, his flag flying high, and the programme will be worse off for it because at the end of the day it is an entertainment show and some people have failed in a spectacular fashion too see that!”

Here, here, Andrew. I totally agree with what has been said. It is just an entertainment show and John was the most entertaining in my opinion.

Brucie has also had his say on the matter:

“He was put in the most awkward position, looking at the other dancers and knowing they were better than him”.
