Britney Spears earns $500k for product placement in Hold It Against me
February 25, 2011
One of the first things that viewers may notice upon watching Britney Spears’ brand new video, Hold It Against Me, is just how many sneaky product endorsements are crammed into it.
In the video, which lasts around four and a half minutes, Britney is seen using her own Radiance fragrance and applying some worryingly permanent-sounding cosmetics called ‘Make Up For Ever’. She also spends some time browsing PlentyofFish.com and using Sony products.
There is no attempt to hide the brand names of these products, or integrate them into the rest of the video. For these seconds of shameless promotion, Britney is said to have earned herself a cool $500,000.

According to the latest speculation, David and Victoria Beckham are to be amongst the lucky few to receive an invitation to the upcoming royal wedding between Prince William and fiancée Kate Middleton.
Prince William reportedly met Becks in South Africa during the World Cup tournament last year, and the pair are said to have got on “like a house on fire”.
Now, inside sources (according to the Mail Online) are claiming that the Beckhams are to be invited to the royal wedding. This is while royal family members such as the disgraced Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, are to be left off the invite list.
Newcomer Adrianne Palicki cast as Wonder Woman for new TV series
February 17, 2011
A relatively unknown actress has beaten off stiff competition from Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks and even singer Beyonce Knowles to win the role of Wonder Woman in a new TV series.
Adrianne Palicki, 27, will play the role of Diana Prince, a role made famous by Lynda Carter back in the 1970s. Prince is a high-flying corporate executive, with a double life as an LA crimefighter in a simply amazing outfit.
The script for the new Wonder Woman TV series will be written by David E. Kelley, the mastermind behind the popular US TV series Ally McBeal.
Although curvaceous stars Christina Hendricks and Beyonce have both expressed an interest in wearing the famous Wonder Woman leotard, executives at TV network NBC have said that Palicki is the only one they wanted.
Kate Moss and Jamie Hince finally announce engagement
February 7, 2011
According to the latest press reports – and pictures of a huge diamond ring – supermodel Kate Moss and her rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince are finally engaged to be married.
Ever since the couple started dating in 2007, rumours have been circulating about a possible engagement. After many “are they, aren’t they” moments, it has now (nearly) been confirmed that The Kills’ singer proposed to Kate, 37, whilst they were in bed, and she of course said yes.
As well as a source close to the couple telling The Sun newspaper that they have even set a date – July 2nd – Kate has also been spotted out and about with an enormous rock on her finger.
Alexandra Burke and JLS launch joint fashion range
February 1, 2011
X Factor graduates Alaexandra Burke and boy band JLS have teamed up to launch a new fashion range called 2KX.
Despite it being a clothing range, the sexy fivesome feature in a nearly-naked promo photo for it, in which they reveal an impressive range of abs and pecs (the latter belonging to the boys, of course). However, the 2KX brand does also have an underwear line, so maybe it isn’t simply an excuse to show off.
The origins of the name 2KX are quite complicated to explain, but here goes. 2K is the term for the year 2000 and X is the Roman numeral for 10, so the fashion line is named after the year 2010, which is when it was first conceived.
