I popped round to the shop for a bottle of milk yesterday and there was the thing I’ve been waiting for - the OK magazine with the exclusive on Wayne and Coleen’s gorgeous wedding day. Well I couldn’t resist grabbing a copy to get the lowdown on the big day!

For a couple who met when they were just 16 years old in Liverpool, who’s first date was seeing the Austin Powers movie and who got engaged on a petrol station forecourt this really was the fairytale wedding that most people can only dream about.

In an exclusive spot in Santa Margherita, Italy, football player Wayne Rooney and presenter and style icon Coleen McLoughlin finally tied the knot six years after first getting engaged. It has been one of the most talked about weddings for a long time and it lived up all the hype.

Due to Italian law the couple had to have both a civil and a religious ceremony. The former was held at the secluded Villa Durazzo in the morning but was just as impressive and stunning as the actual wedding ceremony. Coleen was dressed in a strapless white organza dress by Marchesa and crystal incrusted white Christian Louboutin shoes and Wayne sported a brown suit from Flannels and an open necked shirt. Witnessed by their parents the couple walked up to the registrar’s table to the sound of a string quartet, the table was decorated with white roses and hydrangeas and candles. Both said they saw this ceremony as just a formality but on the day emotion took hold and Coleen shed a tear when her and Wayne signing the book as Mr and Mrs Rooney. After the ceremony the couple left in separate Mercedes Benz cars to make their final preparations for the main event.

The main event, held in a 16^th century abbey called the church of San Giralon, only visible from the waters of the Ligurian Riviera, started at 4:15pm. Wayne, dressed in a grey suit by Raffaele Caruso waited nervously before Coleen, dressed in another Marchesa number, walked down the aisle arm in arm with her father to the sounds of a gospel choir singing ‘You Are So Beautiful’. After the ceremony the couple showed off their matching Jacobs and Co engraved wedding bands. Then it was off to the lavish Laurent-Perrier Cuvée rosé reception where champagne and Pimms and a selection of fine Italian bread, meats, cheese and seafood was on offer. Singer Paul Pashley sang a selection of Sinatra and Dean Martin classics throughout the reception and then finally sang ‘Perfect Day’ as the wedding party watched the sun set over the water. Wayne surprised Coleen by getting Westlife, her favorite band, to perform and even getting on stage with them at one point!

Wayne later said about Coleen and the wedding, ‘I thought she looked stunning, it’s such a big moment I felt a bit choked actually’. And Coleen’s comments were ‘I was just nervous about whether Wayne would like my dress’. Thankfully Coleen looked the epitome of beauty.

Thankfully the downpour of rain throughout the day didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits!

Charlotte Church 2nd pregnancy!

Former party girl Charlotte Church and Welsh rugby player hubby Gavin Hensen have just announced that they are expecting…again! Just 8 months after dauhgter Ruby was born, Charlotte Church has confirmed that she is pregnant for the 2nd time and is said to be due in November.

Now living in near Bridgend in South Wales, singer Charlotte Church appears to have given up her partying and drinking and is settling down to a quiet life of marriage and motherhood. However she has confimed that she will continue the filming for the 3rd series of her chat show in July and August.

The couple are said to be ‘delighted’.

R Kelly didn’t make the sex tape!

… according to the jury in his month long trial. The R&B star was acquitted of all chares at the end of last week because the jury couldn’t be sure, beyond all reasonable doubt that the girl in the video was the one that the prosecution were claiming to be the singer’s 14 year old victim. The main reason for this is that the girl would not testify herself, so the prosecution could not prove their claims. According to the radio 1 news reporter that was the only UK journalist in the trial, the singer cried and said “thank you Jesus” when the verdict was read out, and I’m not surprised, as he was facing 15 years in jail if he was convicted!

So that’s the end of R Kelly’s court room drama. Or maybe not, as he’s now apparently being sued by a man who says the R&B super star robbed his dance moves! How he expects to prove that one I have no idea, can you even steal a dance move? Given the lack of newsworthiness of this story, we’ll probably never find out!

More health problems for Amy

It seems hardly a week goes by without our favourite problem popster Amy Winehouse being back in the news for some reason or another. The 24 year old singer yesterday went into hospital after collapsing in her home. Luckily her manager’s assistant was there to catch her fall and she was then taken into hospital just to check she was ok. Amy was still in hospital today after having tests to see what’s wrong proving inconclusive. All I can say is that it’s a good job she makes such great songs because she’s becoming more famous for her dodgy antics and poor health than her music!

Patter of tiny feet again for Ulrika

Phew! Another hubby, another baby for Ulrika Johnson who gave birth to a baby boy last Saturday. Baby Malcolm is Ulrika’s fourth child, and the first for her husband Brian Monet, an advertising executive, who the presenter married in March this year. Ulrika’s other children are from different previous relationships and are aged between 13 and four.

I hope Ulrika’s marriage works out this time, she’s always been more famous for the different men she’s dated (like ‘hunky’ hunter from Gladiators) than her presenting work (although I did love her on Shooting Stars all those years ago!). She’s certainly not been lucky in love but is said to be over the moon with her new arrival so fingers crossed for a bit more stability for her and her family in the future!

Wayne & Coleen tie the knot!

Well, with England not being part of the Euro 2008 finals, it looks like Wayne Rooney’s found something to cheer himself up! Wayne and his childhood sweetheart Coleen McLoughlin have today married in Portofino in Italy, but everything is being kept well under wraps because the couple have agreed a massive magazine deal which is supposedly worth around £2.5 million (which only makes up half the cost of the wedding!!!). I’m sure the paparazzi will manage to get a couple of sneaky pics of the happy couple or some of their guests, otherwise we’ll just have to rush to the shops when OK! magazine comes out so we can dissect every last detail from the dress to the canapés! I can’t wait!

Cheryl replaces Sharon on the X Factor

The vacancy for a new X Factor judge has now been filled.

As i mentioned in a previous post, Sharon decided to quit the show because she wasn’t getting paid enough, since then they have been on the hunt for someone to step into her shoes and replace her.

It hasn’t taken them long and after only discussing that Girls Aloud may be on the verge of splitting the other day, it seems that Cheryl Cole has been offered the position, and accepted!!!

Cheryl has bagged herself a whopping £800,000 deal for the show and is due to start the auditioning process soon, alongside Simon, Louis and Dannii.

Cheryl has said:

“I’m so excited to be part of such a great show and although it’s scary joining a huge programme like The X Factor, it’s a massive honour to be following in the footsteps of Sharon Osbourne. The rest of the girls have said they’re right behind me, which is really important for me as it will be weird to be on the other side of the fence this time. So, whilst we get started on the next album, it will be brilliant to be a Judge on The X Factor.”

Fair enough, Cheryl has been there, done that, got the t-shirt for this kind of show but i really don’t see why Dannii Minogue is one of the judges, she’s just Kylie’s ugly sister who has tried to make it in the music industry but failed!!!

Tori Spelling gives birth to baby girl

Baby Stella entered the big wide world yesterday and proud parents Tori and and Dean are over the moon!

Stella Doreen weighed in at only 6lb 8oz.

It seemed that Tori was happy that she had given birth to a little girl:

“I’ve always wanted a little girl since I’m such a girly girly”

Tori isnt the only celebrity to give birth this week, Jessica Alba finally popped out her daughter Honor Marie and Ulrika Johnson gave birth to a little boy, Malcolm (not the sort of name i would give to my baby, but never mind!).

Are Girls Aloud about to split?!

Pop groups are never around for long, one unsuccessful hit and your out!!

Girls Aloud have certainly had lots of success from their music, but this isn’t the only thing the girls have been concentrating on, are they all about to go solo??

Cheryl has recently featured in a chart hit with Will.i.AM, Nicola has brought out her own make up range, Nadine has pretty much found her feet in the US and most recently, Sarah has recorded a track with Nu-rave group “The Filthy Dukes”.

It seems that Kimberley is the only one who hasn’t decided to do her own thing.

Could this be the end of Girls Aloud???

What has been going on over the weekend?

So, whats been going on with our lovely BB housemates over the weekend? Well, Steph and Mario got married!!

During the celebrations, big brother decided to tell the housemates that there is a secret couple in the house and that they had to work it out! Obviously they did, i think the fact that Steph nearly vomited every time she had to go near Mario gave the game away!

As the housemates have found out that it was all a big fat task, Lisa, Mario, Steph and Luke all face the public vote on Friday.

OK, so Steph is obviously crap when it comes to acting, but surely it cant have been that hard, could it?

I know that she hadn’t ever met the guy before and had to pretend they were together, but if the choice was to face the public vote or pretend i fancied someone old enough to be my dad then I’d definitely try my hardest to fool the other housemates.

Who do you want to be voted off this week? My vote goes for Steph, she could of tried so much harder in the task, but instead failed miserably!
