Girls Aloud rake in the cash

Celebrities never seize to amaze me, so hearing how much Girls Aloud made from one performance was not too much of a shock to the system.

If they don’t have the best car, they have the nicest house or the fanciest designer wardrobe and its no wonder from their bank balance.

The girls did a 45 minute performance this weekend and got paid £125,000, bagging £25,000 each!!! (Nadine decided to show up this time – funny that!!)

They performed at the 70th birthday party of billionaire Eddie Healey as a treat for his grandchildren.

Just think, it wasn’t long ago that they were just like you and me and auditioning on Popstars: The Rivals!! (I must remember to audition next time, if Sarah Harding made it, anyone can!!)

Right, well im off to the local old peoples home to blast out a bit of Kylie Minogue, might be able to earn myself a tenner get in!

Kris Marshall in road accident

You probably know Kris Marshall from the TV show My Family, or more recently the BT adverts.

I absolutely love this guy and was upset to find out he had been in a horrific road accident.

Kris was on a night out in Bristol City Centre when he got hit by a VW Polo.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene and was then escorted off to intensive care for head injuries.

An eye witness has said:

“He was sprawled in the road, not moving. It looked fatal. There was a real commotion and lots of people were milling around. It looked very serious.”

Fear not Kris fans, he is said to be doing well and is due to be leaving hospital later this week. Hurrah!

Has Jennifer Aniston finally found love?!

Jennifer Aniston is certainly not lucky when it comes to love and i cant imagine seeing Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie showing off their growing number of children helps either!!

Although her relationships haven’t lasted that long as of late, she certainly doesn’t do badly, from Tate Donovan to Vince Vaughn she always gets the tasty ones!

Jennifer has now been spotted with Jessica Simpsons ex, John Mayer (phwoar!!)

The pair were spotted eating out in Miami and apparently looked very cosy together, on onlooker said:

“They were affectionate – definitely touchy feely. The room they ate in was almost empty. They both drank Bellini’s.”

Lets hope for Jen’s sake that this one is a keeper as he is top totty!!!

Another child for the Beckhams?

It looks as though David and Victoria Beckham are going to try for another baby. (cant wait to hear the name of this one!)

Apparently the pair are “working” on having another child now that Victoria has finished her reunion tour with the Spice Girls. (How jealous am i!!!!)

The super sexy LA Galaxy star has spoken out about it saying:

“We’re working on it. We’re very family orientated, so we’ve always wanted a big family, which was weird because when we first got together we never even discussed how many children we wanted. But it’s worked out that we want a big family and we love kids so it’s worked out perfect.”

Not everything is always perfect for WAG and fashion pioneer Victoria Beckham.

Although her fashion line dVb was successful it appears that it may have gone on a downwards spiral.

With storys of the line being dumped due to low sales i cant imagine she took too lightly to the news that her jeans were being sold at a price of £35 at discount stores in the US. Ouch!

The designer denim is being sold in shops such as Loemanns (the US version of T K Maxx) with the price tag decreasing from $300 to $69.99 (quick get me over there to bag some up!!!!!!!)

Unfortunate news for the people who forked out for them hey!! oh well, that’ll teach ya!!

Wesley Snipes – 3 years in jail! Ouch!

The Hollywood actor Wesley Snipes, famous for his roles in films such as Blade and Demolition Man has been sentenced to three years in prison for tax evasion.

It has been reported that Snipes has dodged more than £7.5million in income tax from the beginning of his career and now the IRS have finally caught up with him.

Friends and family have been pleading and appealing to the court, including his good friend Denzel Washington.

“Wesley is like a mighty oak tree. I have been protected by his presence”.

The pleas however went unnoticed and Denzel has been told to report to a prison near his home in New Jersey at a later date. Yikes!

Amy hits the headlines again

Amy Winehouse is back in the headlines this week as she allegedly attacked two men after a drug-fuelled night out.

It was claimed that Amy headbutted a man who had hailed her a taxi outside a bar as well as punching another guy in the face!!

Amy had been seen snogging a mystery fella, turning over tables and knocking over drinks in a pub. (classy!)

This all started when Amy and her pals went for a drink at a dodgy pub in North London and someone refused to give way for her at the pool table. Because of this Amy gave the guy a bruised eye and a swollen lip.

Note to self: Never mess with Amy Winehouse!!

During the kerfuffle Amy shouted:

“I am a legend, get these people out. I want to take drugs.”

The Wino now looks like she is going to be questioned by the police and if convicted of assult could face up to 6 months in prison and a hefty £2000 fine.

Cheeky Girl To Marry MP

When i heard that one the cheeky Girls was dating an MP i thought i had heard wrong….but no, i had heard right!

Gabriela Irimia who had her 15 minutes of fame with sister Monica on the show Popstars: The Rivals shocked the world with the release of “The Cheeky Song (Touch my bum)”, which ultimately got voted the worst pop record of all time by a Channel 4 poll.

In December 2006 Gabriela started dating MP Lembit Opik.

The couple met on “All Star Talent Show” and at this point Lembit was engaged to TV weather girl Sian Lloyd, although he claims he never cheated on her!

It was annoucned last night that the couple are now engaged to wed and are arranging the big event for 2010.

There have been some odd celebrity couples in the past, including Anna Nicole-Smith (RIP) and J. Howard Marshall and Celine Dion and Rene Angelil.

Kelly Splits From Billy Zane!!

Yes that’s right, Kelly Brook has split from her fiance Billy Zane after 4 years together. (Calm down boys!)

After the death of her father last November, Kelly has been re-assessing her life and feels that she is too young to marry Billy who is 42! Ouch!

A source has said:

“Kelly has decided that Billy is not the man she wants to marry. The split is completely amicable and the decision was made after long conversations here and in the US. They remain good friends.”

Billy has moved out of their £1million pad in Kent and is thinking about moving back to LA.

So, the gorgeous Kelly Brook is back on the market ey, cant imagine it will take too long before she is whisked off her feet by a gorgeous prince charming!

Carla Bruni to front Asda?! Surely Not!!

It appears that the gorgeous Coleen McLoughlin has been axed as the face of supermarket Asda’s fashion range George.

Asda have decided to ditch the WAG as they are looking for someone more glamorous and feel that Coleen wouldn’t appeal to every woman. (Are they mad?!)

Amongst a few of the names that have come up to replace Coleen, the funniest must be Carla Bruni. Carla is the french presidents wife and i really cant imagine her wanting to be the face of a supermarket clothes line. I can imagine she will have much more important things to do!! But in this crazy celeb world, it wouldn’t surprise me if she did accept the offer.

OK, she may be glamorous but George at Asda, come on!!

I don’t think she will be trading in her Versace and Prada outfits to make way for a wardrobe full of shoddy, cotton t shirts and dresses, do you?!

Coleen is much more suited for this as she is regularly seen purchasing items from high street stores and is a role model to many girls out there.

A spokesperson at Asda has said:

” The shopping chain are keen to attract the middle-class shopper. Coleen has been a fantastic ambassador for us. But we want to show that our core fashions are for everyone.”
