Sperm For Tickets

I thought i had ended up on some dodgy site when i started reading about Sperm For Tickets but after reading more, it turned out quite interesting!
Basically, Sperm For Tickets is a project where people can apply to donate sperm in return for a music festival ticket free of charge.
A spokesperson for the project said:
“The purpose of this website was to test market interest through a pilot scheme. Applications for donation packs have far exceed the expectations. Our clients are calling a halt to the invitation to apply for packs and will review the results of the scheme to decide on how to proceed.”
Apparently the website has been overwhelmed with applicants, many more than they imagined.
Great news for you men out there, apparently there are 127 festivals listed which you can attend, including Glastonbury!!
What about us women ey?!?!?
Glastonbury Festival - Love The Farm, Leave No Trace

I was green with envy when i found all my friends were going to Glastonbury this year, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Kate Moss, so decided i would take a sneaky look at the line up for the big event held at Pilton Farm in Somerset.
The festival which takes place from June 27th-29th already has some acts confirmed including The Verve, Kings of Leon and Jay Z.
Other than the festival being a major success each year, it has been hitting the headlines this week for a different reason.
This year, attendees will be offered biodegradable tent pegs to try and stop injuries to dairy cows from the thousands of metals pegs left in the ground after the event.
The pegs will be made from wheat and potatoes and are designed to disintegrate a few weeks after being used.
The new campaign this year is “Love The Farm, Leave No Trace”.
How jealous am i that im not attending! booooooo! 
Not Another Celeb Baby???!

Ok, now this is just getting silly, i can report that yet another celebrity has had a baby, yes you heard me right!!!
Happy parents Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Wilkerson have had a beautiful baby boy who they have named “Braydon Hart Wilkerson” (cute name or what!!)
It was quite a shock to even hear that Melissa Joan Hart was pregnant as i still think of her as Sabrina the teenage witch and forget to remember that i watched that when i was about 10 so she must be older than 16 by now!!!! Time flys eh!
Braydon is the second child for this lovely couple, they already have a two year old son called Mason.

Coxy Gives Birth To Baby Boy

It seems to be the season to be giving birth for celebrities everywhere!!
The latest to drop is Radio 1 DJ, Sara Cox.
Sara has given birth to a little boy who she has named Issac.
This is her first child with partner Ben Cyzer although she has had a baby girl, Lola with her ex husband Jon Carter.
Coxy is due to return to the breakfast show in September after being replaced by Chris Moyles.
The Bolton born “ladette” is said to be doing fine, along with her new buddle of joy, Issac.

ARE YOU READY? Gladiators is BACK!

I could not contain my excitement when i found out that action game show Gladiators was due to hit the screens once again.
I would wait all Saturday to sit down and watch Hunter beat the competitor on Hang Tough or Jet to do her famous hands free cartwheel 
Originally hosted by Ulrika ka ka ka Jonsson and John Fashanu the show ran from 1992 - 2000 and was a great success.
The new programme which is due to start in May is now going to be presented by Kirsty Gallacher and Ian Wright on Sky One and the great thing is, they have still managed to keep the original referee which is no other than John Anderson (legend!) oh how we loved that scottish accent, ARE YOU READY? THREE, TWO, ONE!!!!
The new Gladiators are due to be unveiled later this month so i will keep you posted.
I can not wait for the new series to start, how sad am i?
REM Use Facebook To Advertise New Album

The majority of people who have used the social networking site Facebook are addicted! Fact!
Once you have signed up and started talking to a few old friends, minutes turn into hours and you realise you have been on it the majority of the day! (not in work time obviously!!!)
People are even choosing to advertise on the site as it has proved so popular!
One of these clever people is Michael Stipe, lead singer of the band REM.
They have decided to use Facebook to preview their new Album “Accelerate”.
Using the i-like application they are going to stream the album nearly a week before the album is due to be officially released.
So for all you REM fans out there, be ready to tune in on March 24th to hear the new album for the first time.
Duffy smashes the charts

I’m sure there will be one song that sticks in your head ALL day and you find yourself singing it from when you wake up in the morning till when you go to sleep at night?!
Well, the song for me is Mercy by welsh singer, Duffy.
I think its one of them songs that you either love or hate, and to be honest i did hate it at first but now im kinda loving it the more i hear it!
I think the reason i didnt automatically like this song was because i was bored of the likes of Kate Nash, Amy MacDonald and Adele taking over the charts and all sounding similar with the same sort of style!!
The single Mercy has kept the number one spot for the fourth week running, and Rockferry has also hit top position in the album charts.
Duffy, 23, has sold over 180,000 copies of Rockferry making it the fastest selling album in 2008.
The album has even pushed a deluxe version of Amy Winehouse’s album Back to Black from the top spot into second position, even though the reviews wern’t as glowing as expected!

More Bad News For Britney

So, it’s not only Harry Potter who gets a stalker these days, the latest victim is no other than pop princess, Britney Spears!
Just another problem to add to her list of misery!!
Ms Spears has been receiving creepy letters and death threats from her psycho stalker, the most bizarre being a letter explaining how to make a bomb?!!
The letters are said to contain writing about the Middle East and Israel - weird?!
Britney, who is rumoured to be pregnant (again?!) to ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib has handed the letters over to the FBI as she is said to be petrified!
Brittaz doesn’t seem to be having much look at the moment, and I’m surprised to hear that she is pregnant again seen as though she cant even get full rights to the kids she already has!!!!!!
Sort yourself out Spears and try keeping your knickers on!!!!
David Walliams Makes A Splash For Sports Relief

Comedian David Walliams has begun his swim to Africa to raise money for Sports Relief.
Walliams seems to be abit of a charity man, raising £1m back in 2006 for swimming the English Channel!David is teaming up with Olympic rower James Cracknell, and they are planning to do a 12 mile swim across the strait of Gibraltar which is expected to last about 5 hours! (dont think i could even manage a length of the swimming baths, never mind 12 miles!).
This challenge isn’t as straight forward as its sounds, the stretch of water they will be swimming is extremely dangerous with it being a major shipping lane and a home for sharks!!
I wish them both the best of luck on their adventure and just hope that its a safe one!!
Rehab - the easy way out?

Sadly, it seems to be the “in” thing in the celeb world to be out of your mind on drugs.
Weed, Cocaine and Heroin are just a few amongst the many different types of substances which are causing the queues at the rehab clinics!
Because the A-Listers are raking the money in, its no suprise that they decide to waste a little on, in what their opinion, probably keeps them sane!
Rehab seems to be the place the majority of celebs go when they realise that the drug taking is infact becoming an addiction.
There are many different ways that the stars have tried to overcome this addiction, one being hypnotherapy.
Celebrity’s such as Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas have used this method to try and get over her addiction for “Crystal Meth” claiming that it was “the hardest boyfriend i ever had to break up with”.
I understand that being in the public eye must be stressful, but im sure people who work a 9-5 must be just as stressed, if more! And you dont see us splashing our cash on useless things such as drugs (well not me anyway!!)
What is your opinion on the drug taking antics of the A-Listers?
