Alexa or Kate? Who do Rimmel want?

Make up brand Rimmel are apparently in talks over who should be the face of the product.

Kate Moss has been the face of the brand since 2001 and it has been said that they are not looking to renew her contract when it expires later this year.

There are a couple of people already in the pipeline, with T4 presenter Alexa Chung being favourite.

‘Alexa is one of the hottest faces out there. Not only is she beautiful, she’s savvy, sexy and has loads of attitude.’

I definitely think that the brand need a fresh face and with Kate making the headlines for the wrong reasons lately i think its a great idea.

Kate is rumoured to be organising a date for her wedding in September with her boyfriend Jamie Hince.

Leona Lewis – Not so rich!!

You would think that after topping the charts in both the UK and America that Leona Lewis would be rolling in it.

Dont get me wrong she probably does have a small fortune, but not enough to be able to buy a house in her home town of Hackney, East London.

Leona and her partner Lou Al-Charma tried to purchase a £500,000 house but once the sellers found out who she was, they upped the price to £100,000, at this point the singer had to back out.

Leona is the first women to reach number one in the US charts for 21 years, the last lady was Kim Wilde with “you keep me hanging on”.

Well done Leona on your global success!!!!

JOSS STONE!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I have got to vent my anger on Joss Stone.

I don’t know about you, but i can not actually stand the girl, and to make matters worse she now attempts to sing on the Cadburys Flake advert which has resulted in me turning the TV off whenever its on.

When she first appeared on the scenes, i actually liked her songs, but now whenever i hear her or see her i just get angry!!!

She began by trying to make statements with fashion, she looked more like a bin lady than glamorous pop star and looked like she had dragged her self round a charity shop and dipped into every bargain bin she could find.

In my opinion the look just didn’t work however hard she tried and didn’t even get close to that “vintage” look which some celebs go for!

Her accent then turned American and i even read the other day that she would like a “spiritual” wedding!!!!! (WTF!)

The girl needs to get a life, and whoever thought about having her on the flake advert is an absolute tool, i cringe every single time i see it! Apparently Cadburys got Joss in because there has been a slump in sales of their chocolate.

Crumbliest, flakiest chocolate hey, sounds like Joss’s career if you ask me!!

Danielle Lloyd See’s The Door

When i see girls fighting in clubs, i look at them, laugh and walk off thinking LOSER!!! The Vicky Pollard wannabe’s are usually grabbing each others matted hair extentions in one hand and making sure they dont tip their pint over in the other hand, and its usually over their minger of a boyfriend who has been cheating on them both with the town bike!!

It isn’t always the scally roughians who are at it though, many “celebs” like a good cat fight too!!

This time its D lister Danielle Lloyd, she was spotted being escorted out of the “Funky Buddha” nightclub in London after throwing her drink over ex boyfriend Jermain Defoe who was on a date with a new lady, classy!!!

The best part is, Danielle was with her NEW boyfriend Will Foster, yet still crying over her ex!! I bet Will felt great…not!

Although Jermain got a drink in his face i bet he couldnt contain the laughter at the jealous moose!!

Get over it girl!!!!!

Madonna Uses Vodafone To Promote New Album

Madonna is set to release a new album called “Hard Candy” on April 28th 2008.

This is her eighteenth album and approaching 50, she looks great (although a tad bit muscular…ew)

Lucky Vodafone users will be able to preview songs from the album before it has been released in the shops, her idea is to release one song a day at the cost of 99p a download, fab!

There are 11 tracks on the album but seven of them will be released early.

Unfortunatly for me im an Orange user so looks like im going to have to wait until April to hear her new tunes.

Noooo, Captain Birdseye Has Died!

I was very upset to read that  good old Captain Birdseye had passed away.

John Hewer played the role of the jolly old captain from 1967-1998 and had reached the age of 86 before he sadly died.

I remember the adverts from when i was younger with his famous wink and catchphrase “Only the best for the captains table”.

John went on to be one of the longest running brand personalities in the history of food advertising and also got named as the most recognisable captain on the planet after Captain Cook.

Kerry Katona At The Priory AGAIN

The priory seems to be a second home for a lot of celebrities these days and one person who makes quite a regular visit is Kerry Katona.

Kerry is being treated at the clinic for depression, some reports saying it is because of her husband Mark Croft allegedly cheating on her, others saying it is all part of her regular treatment for bi-polar disorder.

Her recent reality television show “crazy in love” has been put on hold whilst she is being treated.

After getting so annoyed by the Iceland adverts, it put me off the show straight away so i have never watched it and don’t intend to.

Kerry is pregnant with her fourth child which is due at the beginning of May.

I just don’t understand what has happened to her, when she was part of Atomic Kitten with her slim figure and long blonde hair i thought she looked great, now she just looks like a manky old sack of spuds!

Clooney Offers Winehouse £500,000

I think money is probably at the bottom of the list of problems for Amy Winehouse at the moment and she certainly doesn’t have to worry about it running out!

George Clooney and Julia Roberts are throwing an event at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute on May 5th and would like Amy to perform there.

Amy has been offered £500,000 to sing and she is said to be “taken back by the offer”.

Giorgio Armani was the person who requested to have Amy perform on the night and he is reportedly a massive fan of hers.

After her performance at the Grammy’s, the girl is in high demand!!

ABBA Drummer Found Dead!

Now, although i wasn’t in the world to enjoy the hits of Abba for the first time around, i have certainly made up for it from all the weddings, parties and cheesy nightclubs and can probably sing every word to “Waterloo”.

Abba certainly are not one of my favorite all time groups, but i was sad to hear that although not one of the famous foursome, Ola Brunkert,  has unfortunately been found dead in his home in Spain with cuts to his neck.

Ola played the drums for the band and went on tour with them.

His death is apparently meant to be accidental, reports are saying that he fell and hit his head on the window, which shattered the glass and cut him. (hmmm, sounds dodgy if you ask me!)

According to  Abba’s official website, Ola and bass player Rutger Gunnarsson were the only two musicians that appeared on all the ABBA albums!

Decision Time For Mills And McCartney

Today is the day that the divorce bewteen Heather Mills and Sir Paul McCartney will be settled.

After months of arguing and hitting the headlines, this divorce could see McCartney paying out one of the biggest divorce payments ever seen in the UK.

It is said that Heather will receive a lump sum of £25million, which was the amount originally agreed by  Paul.

Heather is apprently not happy with the amount and would like more of his estimated £825million fortune.

Money is not the only concern for Heather, she is worried about who will look after her daughter, Beatrice if anything happened to herself or Paul.

To be honest, i lost track of what was going on with this months ago and i am glad that it is eventually going to get sorted. No doubt greedy Heather Mills will walk away with much more than she deserves!!
