Newcomer Adrianne Palicki cast as Wonder Woman for new TV series

February 17, 2011

A relatively unknown actress has beaten off stiff competition from Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks and even singer Beyonce Knowles to win the role of Wonder Woman in a new TV series.

Adrianne Palicki, 27, will play the role of Diana Prince, a role made famous by Lynda Carter back in the 1970s. Prince is a high-flying corporate executive, with a double life as an LA crimefighter in a simply amazing outfit.

The script for the new Wonder Woman TV series will be written by David E. Kelley, the mastermind behind the popular US TV series Ally McBeal.

Although curvaceous stars Christina Hendricks and Beyonce have both expressed an interest in wearing the famous Wonder Woman leotard, executives at TV network NBC have said that Palicki is the only one they wanted.

The Only Way is to bore off!!

December 10, 2010

The Only Way Is Essex is without a doubt the worst *cough* reality show that has been on TV this year, although it’s tackiest seems to have earned the shows ‘stars’ (and we use that term very loosely) a loyal following.

The perma fake-tanned guys and girls of the show seem to think that they have the celeb status of the Beckham’s now, and there are increasing reports that they are starting to believe their own sad hype!

‘Models’ Amy Childs and Sam Frairs seem to be the worse offenders, although judging by the outfits they’ve been snapped out in about in recently, they need to hire a stylish before they even have the smallest right to give it the Big I Am!!

Cher Lloyd- stroppy little diva or Miss Understood?!

December 9, 2010

With the X Factor final coming up this weekend, you can’t open any newspaper or log onto any gossip site without seeing yet another story about the contestants, and unless you’ve been living on another planet you can’t fail to have missed reports of Cher Lloyds alleged diva-like behaviour!cher

Whilst it’s always good to give the benefit of the doubt, it’s debatable whether this girl actually deserves this, and she seems to have transformed from a timid 17 year old to a right stroppy little cow in the space of just a few weeks.

Throw into the mix the fact she wants to be Cheryl Cole and kits herself out in Pauls Boutique gear and it’s not looking good!

The solution?! VOTE REBECCA!!!

Simon Cowell pulls a sickie!

February 4, 2010

Pulling a sickie in an office environment seems pretty standard, but what about if you are a celebrity with a full schedule for the day? Well, music mogul Simon Cowell had his first ever day off down to flu. Simon was meant to be at the Britain’s Got Talent auditions in Birmingham, but instead had to get his old mate Louis Walsh to step in for him. Fellow judge Amanda Holden admitted that she was glad Simon wasn’t in so she could mess around like a naughty school girl.

Wonder if he will spend the day sat on the sofa, watching Jeremy Kyle with a Lemsip like the rest of us?

Katie Price and Alex Reid – Married!

February 3, 2010

There has been rumors flying around for a couple of weeks now that whilst in Vegas, Katie Price and Alex Reid were to wed….and it seems they are true! Yes, the celebrity couple have tied the knot!

Katie & Alex

I’m not being funny, but what the hell are they doing? It wasn’t long ago that Katie dumped Alex live on TV, now they are getting married?! According to a statement made by Katie’s agent, none of this was done for any kind of media deal…hmmm, YEH RIGHT!!

“Katie and Alex are delighted to announce they got married in a private, simple ceremony. Their decision to marry has not been made with any media deal in place. It is purely down to their love for each other”

The trashy wedding, which lasted a total of 22 minutes, took place at the Chapel of Wynn Hotel. Hope they didn’t turn up in the same dress, that would be embarrassing wouldn’t it!

The TV crew from Katie’s ITV show were in attendance, after all, she can’t do anything without the cameras in her face can she. Apparently £1million is what the couple have been offered for exclusive rights to the pictures…..but they aren’t doing it for the money are they….no, course not!

Farewell Celebrity Big Brother!

February 1, 2010

So folks, that’s it! Celebrity Big Brother is now finished, ended, done, complete! You could tell it was the last ever show though couldn’t you, I mean they really scraped the barrel with the contestants this year. Two people that have shagged Jordan, an ex prostitute, a second division WAG and some kid that’s claim to fame is going out with Ronnie Wood!

Alex Reid was the “Celebrity” who came up top, beating Vinnie Jones and Dane Bowers to first place. No offense to the guy, but he is an attention seeking minger who is only famous because of his girlfriend, and to be honest, doesn’t have one brain cell in that battered head of his. To be fair though, the fake tan incident and his weird relationship with Jonas did make good viewing.

In my opinion, Stephanie should have been the winner. She was fun to watch, wasn’t scared of an argument and tried her very best to fit in, especially trying to copy Sisqo’s lingo!

Did you have a favorite? If so, who?

Coronation Street moves to a Thursday night

July 9, 2009

coronation-streetI absolutely love my soaps, especially on a Monday when I can watch Coronation Street then Eastenders then Coronation Street again, I’m in my element.

The show has been broadcasted on a Wednesday night for the past 50 years but today, bossess at ITV has announced that Thursday is the new soap night. The good part is, we wont have the football disrupting out programmes anymore. The bad part is we will have to reset our Sky + and make sure we cancel all our plans for Thursday nights in the future!!

Corrie will not be showing at 8.30pm so wont clash with Eastenders.

Are you happy with the switch? Or did you like sitting down with a cuppa on Wednesdays?

Michael Jackson Memorial Concert

July 8, 2009

OMG!! Did you watch the Michael Jackson memorial concert last night? I couldn’t hold back the tears, especially when I saw his brothers crying and even more so when Paris made an emotional speech about her father.

The concert saw the likes of Mariah Carey, Usher, Stevie Wonder and Lionel Ritchie take to the stage to blast out timeless Jacko hits, with Britain’s very own Shaheen Jafargholi stealing the limelight with “Who’s Lovin You”.

All the Jackson clan were in attendance  including all 3 of Michael’s children, who up until then had not been put in the media spotlight.

If you didn’t get to see the speech that Paris made, take a look at it here..

Kerry Katona appears on GMTV again!

May 29, 2009

Remember that Kerry Katona interview on GMTV where Kerry appeared drunk, slurring her words for all the world to see? Well, after saying she wouldn’t appear on the sofa again, she has!

She didn’t have to face Philip and Fern this time though, instead she discussed her show Kerry Katona: What’s the problem? with Andrew Castle. Kerry admitted to Andrew that she had avoided taking her medication before the interview so that she didn’t slur her words and could not get accused of being drunk again.

Kerry made sure that she had a little dig at Fern and Phil though, saying:

“What annoyed me about it was they never approached me and asked what medication I was on. They just said to me, ‘Have you been drinking?’, It still upsets me now, I was nationally embarrassed because of medication and illness.”

I really don’t think she is going to let the whole thing drop is she?!

Does Britain actually have any talent?

May 28, 2009

stavrosHave you been watching Britain’s Got Talent?? If so, what do you think of the acts that have gone through to the final so far?

The first acts that went through were Susan “over rated” Boyle and dance act Diversity. I definitely think that Diversity deserved to go through but I just don’t see what all the fuss is about over Boyle? I mean yeah, she can hold a note but she didn’t blow me away, she was just average. I definitely thought she was better in her first audition too!

The next acts to make it through were Flawless and Shaun Smith. I thought Flawless were brilliant, much better than Diversity. They were in sync with each other and did some great moves. Shaun Smith was good, but he could have just been on a Karaoke machine down the local pub.

The final two who made it through to the semi finals were Shaheen Jafargholi and Stavros Flatley.  Shaheen does have a great voice but what the hell are Stavros Flatley?! Some fat kid and his dad pissing about on the stage with their man boobs in full view? I can’t imagine that it’s something that will entertain the queen but I suppose I would rather they got through than Susan Boyle.

To be honest, none of the acts have been amazing. My vote definitely goes to Flawless so far. How about yours?
