Harry Potter star recovers from Swine Flu

Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has just recovered from a case of Swine Flu. The actor who plays Potter’s best mate, Ron Wesley had a mild strain of the flu and has now been told that it is no longer contagious.

The latest Harry Potter film is having it’s premiere in London tomorrow night, Rupert must be relieved he is over the illness so he can attend the star studded bash.

Swine flu appears to be more serious than I first thought. You never think that something like that will hit the UK, but there have been numerous cases in Scotland and London and it seems that the bug is spreading! Yikes!

Are you a knock-off Nigel?

Imagine being lucky enough to be part of a film that smashed box office records, only to find that knock of Nigel from down the street is selling duplications for £3.00 to all his dodgy mates, you certainly wouldn’t be very happy would you!

This seems to be happening more and more these days. Someone, somewhere is always doing a DVD duplication of chart topping films to sell to mates at work and down the pub. Film piracy is on the increase and tackling it now could mean it generating £614m for the economy.

If i want to see my favourite celebrity in a film, I’ll either go and watch it at the Cinema or wait until it comes out on DVD, i would never illegally download it or buy a knock off version, but, i am aware that this goes on a lot. The film industry have already tried to sort the problems out by implementing fines for people seen with a camera or recording equipment in the cinema and have even tightened up regulations at car boot sales.

What is your opinion on duplicate DVDs? Would you rather see your favourite actor or actress projected onto a huge screen whilst munching down on a massive bucket of popcorn, or would you rather spend £3 on a grainy DVD with subtitles? Let me know.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Although the majority of us are finding it hard to cope with the economic downturn, the lack of money in our pockets and the increasing about of fluff in the bottom of our purses, it seems that celebrities are still spending and splashing out on ludicrously priced items. A film called Confessions of a Shopaholic has recently hit the big screens and it shows the story of a girl who finally has to succumb to a mounting debt. I suppose those celebs who are splashing out on lavish gifts should put it on hold and watch this film or they could find the debt collectors after them!

The film is based on the novel by Sophie Kinsella and shows you the world through the the eyes of a shopaholic, Rebecca Bloomwood, played by Isla Fisher. When Rebecca was younger she discovered the ‘magic card’ which to you and me is that glorious thing called a credit card and from then on it all went down hill.

The film looks great and apparently Isla Fisher has impressed with her comedic skills. No doubt after watching the film I’ll want to get out there and shop till i drop!

Harry Potter in accident on set

Don’t worry Harry Potter fans, Daniel Radcliffe is OK!!!! It’s his stunt double who isn’t!

Daniel’s stunt double was in the middle of rehearsing a flying scene when he fell. The fall is rumoured to be a bad one and there were even reports that he could feel his leg.

A source has said:

“The stunt double was badly hurt. He was rehearsing a flying scene which involved an explosion and it seems to have gone badly wrong. The guy was rigged up to a harness for the scene and was flying through the air. It is thought he may have been caught by the explosion and hit the ground very hard. He told crew members who went to help him he couldn’t feel anything from the waist down. Everyone is just hoping he makes a good recovery. It has come as a terrible shock.”

The double is now being seen at Watford hospital but there are fears that he may be paralysed.

At least if they keep the scene in, it would look realistic, oh I’m evil aren’t i!!

I hope that Daniel’s stunt double makes a full recovery!

Macaulay Culkin’s sister killed!

Remember the cute little kid in Home Alone that you still think is only about 10, well, he is now infact 28!! Oh my god, i don’t know why, but i just imagine that stars like him never grow up when in fact, he is older than me. Anyway, that isn’t what my post is about today, it’s something quite serious.

Macaulay Culkin’s older sister has been killed after being hit by a car! Dakota, who has recently worked on the thriller movie ‘Lost Soul’ was rushed to the ULCA Medical Center where she received treatment but died from head injuries.

The LA Police Department are currently investigating the incident but as of yet, no arrests have been made.

Why Brad and Ange never argue..

Brad Pitt has explained why he and Angelina Jolie do not fight anymore and it seems its all down to the new film he is staring in ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’.

Here is what he has said:

“Angie and I do not fight anymore. What occurred to me on this film, and also with the passing of her mother, is that there’s going to come a time when I’m not going to get to be with this person anymore. I’m not going to get to be with my children anymore. Or friends, people I love and respect. And so, if we have a flare-up, it evaporates now. I don’t want to waste time being angry at someone I love.”

Brad has also said that he gets angry when anyone criticises Angelina:

“I get defensive. They’re talking about not only the woman I love, but one of the people on this planet who I have the greatest respect for. I think she’s as honourable as anyone I’ve ever met.”

God, it must be heart wrenching for Jennifer Aniston to read that! It’s all abit sickly isn’t it really! I have never really liked the couple since they got together and i really do feel sorry for Jennifer Aniston, she was the one hurt in the whole thing! It’s also put me off watching the film ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’, as thats apparently when they fell for each other.

“I’m ready to quit acting” – Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie has admitted that she would give up acting to be a full time mum.

The actress, who has a number of kids, Shiloh, Knox Leon, Vivienne Marcheline, Maddox, Pax and Zahara wants to put her career on hold to look after them.

‘I’m ready to do a few things now and fade away and get ready to be a grandma one day. So I’m not so worried that I want to keep this pace up and try to be something and be a celebrity and be a successful actress forever. First and foremost, I have a lot of children and I have a big responsibility to make sure that they’re growing right and that they’ve got us there for them.’

Angelina hasn’t ruled out returning to our screens if something big comes up though:

‘I don’t think I’ll ever say I’m never ever going to work because maybe there’s that interesting project where I feel creative. But certainly I think now I haven’t worked for a year. I’ll work for a few months in February. I won’t work again probably for another year.’

It must be nice to even have the option of wether you want to work or not, guess thats just the life of a celebrity!!

Spice bus up for sale

Hands up if you remember the Spice Movie “Spiceworld” and bought it on Video back in 1997?!!! MEEEEE!!!!!!

I loved it! If you did too, then you must remember the gigantic double decker bus which sported the Union Jack flag, well, its now up for sale on eBay.

Before you all rush off to bid for it, it’s £3,500, but imagine all the fun you could have in it. You could charge an entry fee and use it as a Spice museum or maybe even live in it, the possibilities are endless!!!

Britney to be a killer lesbian stripper!

Britney is definitely on the up! As well as coming back with her music career, she has also been hand picked by no other than Quentin Tarantino to star in one of his films.

The director, who has made hits such as Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction is keen for Britney to play the role of the killer lesbian stripper.

Quentin is remaking the 60’s cult movie, Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! and it is being described as “perfect Tarantino material”.

If Britney is to accept and take on the role, it will be something she isn’t used to, lets put it this way, playing a killer lesbian stripper is the complete opposite to singing to Hit me baby one more time!!!

As the character Varla, Britney will have to kill a man with her bare hands and also be involved in sex scenes, with another woman, oo-er!!!!!

“Quentin is convinced Britney will be brilliant. He wanted to get Britney first as she’s playing the most important character.”

I’m so glad that Britney is turning her life around!!

Yeh, my new neighbour is Johnny Depp!!!

I’ve heard some very exciting news, that the amazing film star that is Johnny Depp has been looking for a new pad in England!!! Whoop!

The star has been looking for houses in the Norfolk area and has apparently set his eyes on “Claxton Manor” which is a £5.5million Elizabethan mansion

The massive house contains eight bedrooms and six bathrooms, maybe as there is so much room i could help him pay the rent and move in with him?!?!?!?! or not!

Johnny seems to be settling into the English lifestyle quite well, as he has already been spotted eating in local restaurants and drinking in local pubs and has even given some signed photo’s to the Brownies in the area. Cute!

Right well I’m off to pack my bags, I’m relocating to Norfolk! Cya!
